Full Time Location: Harlingen, Texas, USA Term: Permanent Number of
Positions: 1 Experience Required: 2 years preferred; entry- or
mid-level considered with strong clinical background Job Summary:
Seeking a full-time certified Medical Physicist to provide clinical
medical physics support for a regional group of radiation oncology
centers. The position involves a combination of on-site and remote
support within the region, including occasional travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Provide full range of on-site clinical
medical physics support. Serve as primary remote physics support
for regional sites. Travel occasionally to other regional sites for
on-site support. Specify and access dosimetric and treatment
planning equipment (e.g., measurement instruments, computerized
treatment planning systems, water phantom systems, ionization
chambers, diodes). Advise and consult with physicians and technical
staff during patient planning and treatment. Qualifications /
Requirements: Master s degree in Medical Physics from an accredited
college/university. ABR board certification (or equivalent) or
completion of CAMPEP-approved residency; board eligible and in
process of certification. Eligibility for a Texas license. Minimum
of 2 years of relevant clinical experience. Knowledge of SRS, SBRT,
and HDR procedures. Experience with Varian linear accelerators and
Nucletron/Oncentra. Strong organizational, oral, and written
communication skills. Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Varian linear accelerators,
Eclipse, and ARIA Radiation Oncology Information System.
Familiarity with HDR, SBRT, and SRS procedures. Knowledge of
radiation safety protocols.
