What you will do in this role:

• You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the patient receiving - invasive, diagnostic and interventional procedures. -
• As the, Cardiac Invasive Lab RN you will provide high quality care including:
  • Provide invasive eletrophysiologic monitoring
  • Evaluation of respiratory status, including pulse oximetry
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic cardiovascular invasive lab environment
  • Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual cardiovascular invasive lab patients
  • Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding health care
  • Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistant, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse externsQualifications What qualification you will need:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
    • One year invasive cardiology experience preferred
    • Three years critical care experience preferred
      • Current license by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
      • Any new graduates of RN programs will provide proof of intent to complete license examination
      • Employment in this position is contingent upon successful licensure as an RN
      • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification required
