Job Description:

LMI seeks an experienced Facility Operations Specialist key to providing support to a federal facilities portfolio management program. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) keep our nation safe while supporting the facilitation of legitimate trade and travel.Assist the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) with oversight of RegionalMaintenance and Repair (M&R) contracts in respective areaParticipate in weekly status meetings (draft agendas, notes, action items for follow up, etc.)Coordinate program deliverables and review and finalize with awarded contractorDevelop and/or review SOWs, independent government cost estimates (IGCEs), terms and conditions, warranties, and contract modifications related to validation of equipment, building systems’ preventative maintenance and required system certificationsAssist with the management of documentation, approvals and execution of major and minor repairsReview task order and monthly invoices for accuracy and recommend action to the CORAssist with operational contract oversight (procurement and coordination)Coordinate with other Facility Management team members to execute task ordersServe as liaison with other Agency stakeholders for other vehicles for execution of M&R requirementsReview, validate and recommend action for work requests in respective area of responsibilityPerform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of purchase requisitions, execution actions on contracts, operational contracts and direct procurement contractsDisseminate notification of funding approvals and releases to appropriate parties for contract executionPrepare and monitor multi-year budget planning, purchase requests, and spend down ratesProvide subject matter expertise to working groups, integrated project teams, etc. on an as needed basisBachelor’s Degree or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in facilities management is required.Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writingKnowledge of facilities/engineering basicsKnowledge of basic trades (electricity, carpentry, plumbing, iron work, welding, painting, concrete work, appliance repair, building operational requirements, etc.)Knowledge and execution of regional preventive maintenance program processesProficient in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint and project management database systemsAbility to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation (CBP BI) preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
