Payroll SpecialistFinance & People & CulturePayroll ManagementPuerto RicoGeneral ResponsibilitiesThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the Bi-Weekly payroll processing for Evertec Group, LLC ensuring compliance with SOX Controls and relevant legislation. Additionally, supports other areas within Finance and People & Culture Division, including but not limited to supporting the compensation analysis process.* Administer all aspects of the payroll function, ensuring compliance with internal controls and latest legislation, internal reporting requirements liaising with finance Tax and SAP functional Areas as required.* Stays abreast of updates and changes to local labor legislation that could affect payroll processing and other local regulatory reporting requirements.* Responsible for the "end-to-end processing" of bi-weekly payroll, maintaining quality, service, prompt and accurate processing, reporting, validation, and recordkeeping of payroll. Ensures timely processing of accounting journal & tax filings and performs necessary accounting entries and reconciliations for corresponding payroll accounts.* Processes all payroll-related transactions and remittances to external third parties (garnishments) and validates payroll interfaces with Savings & Investment Plan, Health & Welfare Programs, and employee credit union.* Responds to audit requests and deals with external agencies as required.* Supports a variety of Ad -hoc reporting requests including but not limited to: Overtime expenses, vacation accruals, and variable payments.* May support assigned analysis for salary actions such as promotions and retention efforts.* Supports data collection process for salary surveys.* Contributes toward a consistent rewards approach in supporting internal equity analysis while monitoring expenses, trends, and area requests.* Responds to employee payroll inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.* Supports payroll and Rewards related orientations as required for Evertec Leadership Academy or other required forums.* Aids supervisors and managers in administrating the unit's time management and Manager Self Service (MSS) platform.Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.Education and Experience Required* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or Human Resources from a four-year college or university.* Three (3) to five (5) years related payroll experience in a medium to a large-sized organization running a bi-weekly payroll cycle.Knowledge and Skills Required* Bilingual English/Spanish (written/oral).* Prior experience in SAP is desirable.* Experience in Excel handling large data sets with the ability to manipulate data using Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and logical argument functions.* Prior exposure to updating dashboards in Power BI is preferable.* Prior exposure to compensation analysis is a definite plus.#LI-DNIAdditional InformationMonday to Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PMAvailable to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region."Evertec Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
