Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Brownsville, TX Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,373 to $1,568 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Travel-RN-FSED (780) City/State: Brownsville, Texas Shift: 19:00-07:00, Nights Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 02/09/2026 Job Description: Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department with a requirement for 5 years of recent experience in a high-acuity setting. Responsibilities: IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, wound care Moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion Assisting with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response Care of stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients Transport preparation and coordination for higher levels of care Triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines Isolation and infection control protocols Documentation and reassessment in fast-paced environments Requirements: Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred) Strong triage and critical thinking skills Trauma and cardiac alert experience, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part III
