Certifications: Certified Surgical Technician Must-Have: - Aseptic
technique in the operating room - Ability to set up required
equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies - Proficient in
scrubbing and passing instruments during surgical procedures -
Capability to pull cases as needed and break down cases at the end
of procedures - Skills in setting up the operating room and
necessary supplies for current and following day schedules -
Availability for call on an assigned, scheduled basis as required
Description: Certified Surgical Technicians are responsible for
maintaining aseptic technique in the operating room. They prepare
the necessary equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for
their assigned cases. They scrub and pass instruments and equipment
during surgical procedures. They assist with pulling cases as
needed and breaking down cases at the end of each procedure. They
set up the operating room and supplies needed for the current day
and the following day's schedule. They are also available for call
on an assigned, scheduled basis as required by unit needs.
