Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Brownsville, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - ED /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in a 22-bed emergency department with 4:1 patient ratio /n• Day shift staffing includes charge nurse plus 5 RNs with support staff /n• Night shift staffing includes charge nurse plus 6 RNs with support staff /n• Work 2 weekends per schedule, no on-call required /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI /n• Minimum 5 years of recent emergency department experience in high-acuity setting required /n• Must have strong triage and critical thinking skills /n• Trauma and cardiac alert experience required, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients /n• Use Meditech EMR system for documentation /n• Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care /n• Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion /n• Assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response /n• Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients /n• Coordinate transport preparation for higher levels of care /n• Conduct triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines /n• Follow isolation and infection control protocols /n• Document and reassess in fast-paced environments /n• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs /n• Must be team-oriented with strong work ethic and accountability /n• Must be punctual, reliable, and compassionate with excellent patient-centered care /n• Must be flexible and able to adapt to fast-paced environment /n• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required /n/n Facility: /n This regional medical center operates a comprehensive emergency department providing high-acuity emergency care to the community.
