qualified ER/Trauma RN in Mcallen, Texas, 78503! Pay Information
$1,752 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Department
Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Dept Duration:
13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1
year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI Must-Have: - At least 2 years of
adult/pediatric ER experience Description: The unit has a total of
12 beds. The staff on the unit includes 10 members. The staffing
consists of: - Day Shift: 2 RNs and 1 MID RN - Night Shift: 2 RNs
and 1 MID RN Patient ratios are set at 1:4. The unit utilizes
general emergency department equipment including Baxter IV pumps,
Sonosite, and bladder scanners. The electronic medical record
system in use is Meditech. Common procedures performed on the unit
include ortho splints, wound irrigation, IV/Foley insertion, and
EKG point-of-care labs. Candidates should exhibit flexibility and a
willingness to assist peers as needed. Spanish speaking is
preferred but not required. Adequate training will be provided for
all procedures. Weekends are required on a rotational basis.
