• Responsible for preparing the surgical suite according to age specific, medical condition and surgeon preference.
• Perform appropriate sponge, sharp and instrument counts according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate competency to aseptic surgical equipment.Qualifications:
  • Must have a certificate of completion from Surgical Technologist program or military training program and maintain.
  • Must have and maintain current BLS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider's Program
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
