Program Director needed for New Emergency Medicine Residency in
South Texas!South Texas Health System GME Consortium is proud to
announce the expansion of its Graduate Medical Education programs.
We seek a highly experienced candidate to lead the program,
including the 2023 ACGME application process for a 2024 program
start. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to developing
a new GME program in Tropical South Texas. By training new
physicians and partnering in our mission to provide exceptional
care and positive outcomes to patients and their families, you can
significantly impact the community. This position involves direct
patient care, leadership, teaching, and administrative

- Program Director for new Emergency Medicine GME program
- Initially a Consulting role transitioning to .6 FTE as PD, with
remainder in clinical practice

Requirements:
- Current board certification by the ABEM or AOBEM and specialty
expertise American Board of Emergency Medicine or American
Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.
- Recent PD or Associate PD experience strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of recent documented educational and/or administrative
experience in an accredited GME program and have previous
experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited or
AOA-approved emergency medicine program.
- Demonstrated ability as a leader, educator, and clinician.
- Recent history of scholarly activities/research
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership
