Job Description:
JOB SUMMARYAmong other duties, the Chief Technology Officer
assists the Chief Information Officer in managing all aspects of
Lone Star National Bank's information processing services.ESSENTIAL
DUTIESThe duties listed below may not include all responsibilities
that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may
be required to perform other duties as assigned.• Assists the Chief
Information Officer in managing all aspects of Lone Star National
Bank's information processing services• Plans, organizes and
controls technology functions and operations ensuring
functionality, performance and profitability• Develops and enforces
IS policies and procedures to protect the Bank and its customers
and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal
regulations• Oversees daily operations and participates in
development of strategic planning and implementation of bank wide
IT initiatives• Monitors Information Systems industry trends and
suggests enhancements• Manages the hiring, daily activities,
coaching, evaluating and disciplining of reporting staff• Complies
with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all
established bank policies and procedures• Maintains current
knowledge of all rules, regulations and laws as they apply to
BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML Qualifications
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum
experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory of
this position. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the
position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result
in some deviation from these guidelines.
• A self-starting individual who possesses a four-year college
degree in CIS or related Business/IT field and at least five years
of prior IT/IS management related experience (an equivalent amount
of experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree
requirement)• Previous Banking experience preferably with Jack
Henry software and ten years data processing management experience
in a banking or financial institution is preferred• Extensive
Mainframe and Microsoft Network experience is required including
specialized experience in systems architecture and AS400•
Experience should include Data Processing and the marketing of
technology related services and products• Flexibility,
professionalism and the ability to work in a highly stressful
environment and perform a variety of tasks with numerous
interruptions is essential• Attention to detail and a high degree
of mental concentration are required in order to meet established
deadlines• Excellent managerial, organizational, interpersonal and
communications skills are required• Occasional travel is required•
Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
