SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe Accountant can perform most engagements with little supervision and is capable of making decisions on most accounting matters. When unusual situations arise, he/she presents the pertinent information to the engagement manager or partner and follows their advice.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare weekly and monthly reports as needed or required.Assist in maintaining all general ledger data.Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, analyse information and report concerns to the Controller or designee.Monthly close cycle functions.Assist Controller or designee in the preparation of reporting packages to management and outside parties.Work with external consultants to respond to information requests and inquiries.Own the financial accuracy of the balance sheet and income statement.Maintain all accounts payable activity, including but not limited to:Setting up new vendors and coding vendor invoicesCutting checks, scheduling wires and ACH payments in a timely mannerEstablish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.Manage all vendor information (W-9's, banking information, etc.)Own the financial accuracy of the income statement and balance sheet for properties.Record expenses in compliance with the company's capitalization vs. expense policies.Record gain/loss entries on sale immediately upon receipt.Record property additions immediately upon receipt.Preparing monthly reconciliations including but not limited to accounts payable, other current liabilities and non-current liabilities.Perform other accounting and non-accounting related, financial, or administrative tasks as needed.JOB QUALIFICATIONSBA in Accounting from a credited school.At least three (3) years of experience in full cycle accountingExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)Capacity to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.Proficient at accounting research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm.Possess a working knowledge of firm technology, including the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint; and firm engagement management, tax preparation, and time and billing software.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
